Ok. I'm trying to keep on top of my blogs this semester. Cuz, y'know, every mark counts and I REALLY want to pass. SO here's a run down of what has happened this past week.
Photography.
This week's photography class consisted of my favourite type of photography: SLR. Otherwise known in Kimberley language as "Wet Photography", because, well, you have to use chemicals and things get wet. We got given about an hour of classtime to go out and take photos, so I wandered off to Queens Park to snap away and use up the film I was given. I was adamant about using the camera I chose, only to realise it wasn't quite working properly when I got to the park. :I the little light that turns green in the view finder when it's at the correct exposure wasn't working. Soooo guess work it was. The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to learning how to develop the film. I have not done that in yeeeaaarrssss, literally not since year 13 in secondary school. So it was quite nice to have a refresher. Quite funny being in the reel development room in the complete dark fumbling around trying to find all the pieces of the developing tank to put together. Complete. Dark. Then of course, the light comes back when you expose the negative to the chemicals. Me and Chonel ended up staying til about 5:20 developing our negatives. Fun times. Memorable moments were getting free pizza and pepsi, and Kevin calling me "Kimmy".
Film project.
I did some more writings on my script, and now I have a scene where Ko and Joe have an argument about Ko not cleaning the kitchen. It's what starts off the whole "I'mma go for an angry walk in the forest and run into Witchy Woo and get turned into a kid!" thing.
In class there were laughs all around. Patar came in with a bunch of character and story sheets, and we spent the next couple of hours quietly filling those out for our individual projects. I had done something similar a couple of weeks ago with a copy of the character sheets Duncan Sarkies had given us when he was here, so it felt a bit like revision to me. I did iron out some hiccups in the overall story though, which is great. I mentioned quietly before. We were not quiet. At some point Aman was being picked on because of language barriers (He couldn't quit grasp the difference between Yule house and Your house) and Crackers was showing off the weird drawings in the iFold magazine. Virat and Dan are now a married couple and I weirded out Callum when I mentioned Beast of Blenheim. Have you noticed? That 2014's project was called "Bones of Essimer" and this year's project is "Beast of Fawkes". BoE, BoF. Next year will be BoG. Beast of Gore? I guess it can be a big boggy........ But anyway. It was a great atmosphere and it contributed to us all having minds that are in the mood to create story. Does anyone have a girls room? Don is looking for one. To film in. Yeah. Had the dreaded one on one chat with Pat in his secondary office (at the tutor computer) about my story and continued to create stuff.
Outside of SIT
A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to some peeps on a not very well heard of forums website I use. These particular peeps, as a fun wee community project in one of the sub-sections, each sing part of a song, which then all get edited together to create the whole song. It's been going on for a while. They lost their editor for that, so, me wanting to make friends, I decided to put my hand up to be their new editor. They're not so fussy about quality, and most of them certainly aren't great at singing, but it's fun. I'm still going to make sure everyone's tracks are at the same sound level and that the whole thing is broadcast safe, though. So that is happening. This episode, they're all singing Do You Hear The People Sing from Les Miz, and now that is stuck in my head. Hopefully I can have it online for them by Monday. 1,000 internet points if anyone can correctly guess the website, mwahaha. I swear I'm the only active registered member in this part of the world.
Good evening beautiful people, please, pour yourself a cup of tea and make yourself comfortable. This is where I'll be rambling on about several things film (but not all), so for those who are that way inclined, do enjoy your stay.

Semester 2.
Oh my god oh my god, it's the second semester. I only have one semester left of my degree. That... that's quite terrifying. I'm a big third year. I'm going to be graduating soon. Geez.
Anyway. This blog will be quite quick. Reasons include I've only had two classes so far this semester. I only have two classes at all during the week. And they aren't on days that any of my friends have classes :( wah cry cry cry I can't get Streetpass. Except for Crackers. Because Crackers is in my class. But no 3DS. Lollipops though ^_^
Photography. I've signed on to do the second part of the photography paper. This class is much, much smaller than last semesters one. There were about... 10 maybe students taking it last semester. Being an optional paper for the BAMA students, only 3 of them signed up for it. With me and Dan, that makes five. I'm hoping to really make sure I make a good journal for it this semester, seeing as my journal really let my grade down last semester. We went out with SLRs last week and took some photos. Fun times. We're going to be blindfolded and playing around with reels this week, apparently. Blindfolded.
Film class. What did we do again, Patrick? Oh yeah, we gave pitches. And I was constantly being interrupted by people ringing and texting me about flatting. Sorry guys :/ Anyway. I gave my pitch, and I was pretty happy with it. It's interesting to hear what everyone else is going to make. It's a good mix this year. Although I think I might of not really explained my story properly because Patar seems to think I'm making a really dark story. I'm not really. You don't ACTUALLY see any killing. Jeez man, We aren't actually going to see Shariah the blood witch sacrificing anyone to the goddess of menstruating, alrighty. Ahhaha.
There was an internship mentioned, which I'm rather excited for. I don't know much details for it, and I wish I did, but oh well. Apparently it's really soon, which could be a bother, if I'm going to be moving at the same time.
End blog because I can't think because my mind has just been 100% OH MY GOD need to find a place need to find a place need to find a place for the past week or so. I'm thinking I might as well just live by myself in one of them little 1 bedroom unit things. Because I've been getting really creepy texts from people now that I've contacted so many strangers about flatting and it's scaring me :(.
Anyway. I'm excited for classes this week, whenever they're going to happen. My head hurts.
