What shall I talk about tonight, dear boys and girls?
In Research I'm getting stuck into finding some stuff to use for my lit review. I had a chat with Rachel about what is actually expected with this project, and I think I'm finally understanding what I have to do. It's not really that scary. She pointed me in the direction of of few articles and papers regarding my chosen topic: Story pacing in children's tv and live action. Those led me to more interesting things that I could use. Google Scholar is the best invention ever. Maybe. Maybe Kiwiyo is. Kiwiyo is the best invention ever. Someone come with me to Kiwiyo plz. I just want to introduce everyone to it. You can even get your photo taken with your Kiwiyo, if you're that way inclined. I have had four photos taken now with my Kiwiyo. I love Kiwiyo. Kiwiyo, Fuck yeah.
Media Culture all cool, bro, I showed the class the best ever amateur YouTube video, as we had to look up Frozen parodies. Not everyone did though. I think like, four people maybe. I don't understand why. It was really fun. We got talking about our project at some point and I think I'm going to stick with turning a scene from Frozen into live action slasher horror. And a western. And I don't know what the last genre will be. We have to have three. Um. Yeah.
First Aid I'm learning some stuff. Assessment's taken soon. Yip.
The Combined Project is as hectic as ever. Sooooo many script changes, oh my god. Many people wanting to change things. I'm not entirely sure what happened but apparently the script I wrote up wasn't the story? It's terribly confusing, all I did was script up the scenes that we as a story team wrote up. I honestly thought that it was the story. Anyway. There's miscommunication throughout the whole project team, really. Something we should work on, I guess. It's gone through various changes after input from various different people. I still think it should be the students' project, and the students' decision as to what the story involves and when things happen, because really, it's Friday night and I'm still working on drafts. The final was due this morning. Seriously, it is not on to want to make changes after the final was due, even if you are the tutor. Why would anyone set deadlines then completely ignore them?? What sort of impression does that make? I just don't get it. Students'. Project. I'm sorry, but that's just my opinion. Grrrr.
*Breathe, Kimberley*
My blog is my blog. If you don't like it, tough.
Have you received word from a tutor to change the script? Please confirm. I don't recall either Rachel or myself requesting changes.
